The Past, Present, and Future of Shrimpy

Where We Came From

In August 2017, we began development on “Crabby”, which would become the predecessor to Shrimpy. Crabby was a complex trading solution that would allow customers to have fine control over their trading strategy. 

Although we found that the program was useful for advanced traders, our aim was always to provide services for everyone. By December 2017, we saw that opportunity with portfolio rebalancing.

A month later we rebranded to Shrimpy and launched a new platform focused on simple portfolio management through rebalancing. The system was far easier to use and it became one of the first cryptocurrency services focused exclusively on exchange aggregation and long-term strategies like rebalancing.

Where We Are Now

We are focused on creating products that are easy-to-use for both beginners and experts and designed to fit your unique crypto goals. 

At present, the Shrimpy app you know and love is better than ever, with robust features like portfolio automation and portfolio backtesting. We’ve also given it a sleek design and UI overhaul to make it even easier for you to review your account, make trades, and grow your crypto portfolios. 

With all of these exciting new features and upgrades, we’ve decided to upgrade the name as well! We’ll be rebranding the Shrimpy app to Shrimpy Pro in the coming weeks, with even more exciting platform and feature updates in the near future!
