Shrimpy's New and Improved Backtest Tab is Live!

We are incredibly excited to announce that we have launched a completely overhauled backtest tab for the Shrimpy app! We heard feedback from many of you about wanting an improved experience for running backtests, and we are happy to say that this is now a reality.

Here are just a few of the new and improved features that are now live in the Shrimpy app:

Slick, Responsive User Interface

In order to improve your experience when running backtests, one of our primary goals was to improve the user experience and make it easier than ever to run tests, view results, and save your tests to review at any time.

Backtest Currencies Across All Exchanges

In the previous version, you were only able to backtest a select number of currencies on a limited number of exchanges. Well not anymore! 

The new and improved backtest tab allows you to run tests with any currency or exchange that is listed on Shrimpy. This will allow you to create more robust tests and create more thorough research as you are looking to optimize your investing strategies.

Save Backtests and View Your History

We’ve also made it easier than ever to save your backtests and view your history of tests. In order to give you the most customization options to enhance your strategy, it is essential that you can easily and efficiently create backtests with unique parameters and review them at any time. 

This will allow you to make more detailed comparisons and continue to refine your strategy over the long-term. You can review past tests, tweak your strategy, and run new updated tests at any time and always remain confident that your results can be reviewed at a future date.

Increased Backtest Run Speed

We’ve also dramatically improved the performance of the backtest tool. This will allow you to run backtests much faster and review your results without long delays or downtime. We know that speed and being able to pivot at a moment’s notice are essential to your crypto strategies, so we’re always looking to optimize our performance and efficiency.
